Acceptable use
Acceptable Use Policy
Pinavia exists to make high-stakes work more defensible. This policy covers what it may be used for, what it must not be used for, and the behaviour the product holds to regardless of what it is asked to do.
This policy is a complete draft prepared for legal review. It reflects how the product behaves today and how misuse is handled during a pilot.
Intended use
Pinavia is for improving governed business understanding: assembling an evidence base, checking claims against it, drafting decisions and packs, routing them to accountable humans, and keeping a trail that survives later scrutiny. It is intended for use by an organisation on its own material, or on material it is authorised to process on a client's behalf.
Prohibited use
The following are not permitted, and an account may be suspended where they occur.
- Manufacturing the appearance of evidence: presenting generated text as a source document, backdating a record, or editing an audit trail to show a review that did not happen.
- Bypassing a control your organisation or regulator requires you to operate, including using drafted output to substitute for an approval that a person is required to give.
- Presenting Pinavia output as human-authored professional, legal, or regulatory advice where the recipient would reasonably assume a qualified person had produced it.
- Processing data you are not permitted to process, including personal or client-confidential material without the necessary authority or lawful basis.
- Attempting to access another workspace or tenant, probing for such access, or circumventing scoping and authentication controls.
- Reselling or exposing the product to third parties outside the terms of a partner arrangement.
Behaviour the product holds regardless of instruction
Some limits are enforced by the product rather than left to policy. Pinavia refuses when the evidence base is too thin to support a claim, marks model-generated content as machine-generated, and requires a named human before a consequential action can proceed. These do not have an override, and asking the product to bypass them is itself a breach of this policy.
Reporting and enforcement
Report suspected misuse to hello@pinavia.io. Where we become aware of a breach we contact the workspace administrator first, except where doing so would be unlawful or would worsen an active incident. Severe or repeated breaches result in suspension. We do not monitor workspace content for policy compliance — enforcement follows a report or an incident, not routine inspection of your evidence.
